Geo-Support 2004: A Huge Success!

The Geo-Institute and ADSC's, Geo Support 2004, "The Greatest Show IN Earth" Congress held in Orlando, FL from January 28-31, 2004 was a huge success!

The conference and equipment EXPO drew over 2,100 attendees from around the globe. This first-of-its-kind geotechnical engineering and construction conference featured the most innovative foundation drilling and geo-support machinery ever displayed in one place. There were over 150 exhibitors in both outdoor and indoor venues.

The theme of the conference was "Innovation and Cooperation in the
Geo-Industry
", with a technical emphasis on "Drilled Support from the Ground Down". Leading geotechnical engineering designers, researchers, and specialty subcontractors, along with key representatives of public sector ownership shared ideas while exploring opportunities to work together toward the common benefit of all parties in the geo-industry. The keynote presentations and technical breakout sessions were practice-oriented and included several on design/build. Even the three short courses, held prior to the conference, were extremely successful, as they sold out with more than 130 attendees.
