Reference(s):

Al-Qadi and Hughes (2000)
Emersleben and Meyer (2008)

Method Summary

FWD was used to perform a structural evaluation of the reconstructed geocell-reinforced road. Three FWD measurements were made over a period of two years. In this evaluation, the FWD device dropped a calibrated mass of approximately 40 kN onto a 300-mm diameter plate in contact with the pavement surface.
