From Chang et al., 2010</figcaption></figure></p><p>Hydraulic fill provides a rapid means of placing fill without hauling while vacuum assisted consolidation with geocomposted drains provides the means to expedite consolidation of the hydraulic fill materials. Advantages include reduced consolidation time, cost efficiency and reduced foundation failure risk. This technique is applicable new embankments and embankment widening on soft soils and to stabilization of the working platform.</p><p>
