About Chapters

The Geo-Institute has over 60 local chapters throughout the United States. These chapters are affiliated with the Geo-Institute and are part of ASCE’s Sections and Branches.

Join a G-I Local Chapter and discover first-hand how they help you grow your career. Joining a chapter helps you:

  • Focus on local issues that impact your workplace
  • Benefit from on-site professional development programs
  • Build long-lasting friendships and strong business partnerships with professional peers
  • Grow into a leadership role on chapter committees

Some of the benefits of Chapter affiliation for local groups include:

  • Increased member participation
  • Sharing of ideas and best practices between chapters
  • National exposure
  • Special access to publications, and events
  • Networking locally and nationally

The Local Involvement Committee of the Geo-Institute provides services to Chapters such as the Cross-USA Lecture Series, and the Best Practices Handbook.  The Local Involvement Committee also liaises and assists in coordinating activities of interest to both the G-I and local Chapters.
