The Geoenvironmental Engineering Technical Committee's Mission is "to advance and promote interdisciplinary field of geoenvironmental engineering, which encompasses topics that span geotechnical, environmental, and water resources engineering with the following focus areas: containment; remediation; unsaturated-zone processes; contaminant fate and transport (saturated and unsaturated); performance prediction; and sustainable development, and to facilitate technology transfer to G-I members and those affiliated with other organizations through sponsorship of technical conferences, workshops, webinars, and short courses"
