Commentary

The cost of deep dynamic compaction (DDC) is typically captured in two bid items:

  • Design (for performance-based DDC project)
  • Mobilization, normally lump sum
  • Dynamic compaction, normally on a unit rate, either square feet or square yards
  • Standby Rates
