The mission of the Earth Retaining Structures Committee is to promote and facilitate the sharing of knowledge on the design, construction and performance of earth retaining structures among civil engineers and specialty contractors.  We will accomplish this by:

• Developing educational materials, webinars, short courses and conference sessions with the goal of advancing the state of the art in both the design and construction of earth retaining structures.
• Assisting in the development of engineering guidelines and papers.
• Making recommendations for awards to individuals who have made significant contributions to the design and construction of earth retaining structures.
