GeoStudent EDS members can:

1. Receive all EDS committee email communications;
2. Be involved in planning specialty conferences with approval from planning committee;
3. Be involved in the organization of oral and poster sessions at conferences;
4. Participate in social and technical activities
5. Create content for social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others);
6. Participate in the reconnaissance efforts;
7. Engage in the exchange information and planning of events about best practices, professional development, networking, and mentoring;
8. Act as committee liaison with other student organizations with related interests in the design, construction and evaluation of embankments, levees, dams, and slopes; and
9. Partake in other activities with approval from committee chair/lead organizers.

GeoStudent EDS member do not have any voting rights within the EDS committee (unless
otherwise allowed by the committee chair) including for awards, motions, EDS plans, etc.
