General Information

The unsaturated soils committee of the GeoInstitute of the American Society of Civil Engineers was organized in October 2007. This committee is an organization of individuals from academia, engineering practice, and government who are interested in the mechanical and hydraulic behavior of soils in unsaturated conditions. 

The mission statement of the unsaturated soils committee is: “To advance unsaturated soil mechanics through research and implementation in engineering practice and education.”
